I started writing this blog in 2006. Over the years I have assumed that I toil in obscurity. The evidence is overwhelming. 13 years, 10,480 page views.
Turns out I have a really important viewer (other than my kids), apparently.
The Foreign Minister of Iran! Who knew?
"After Iran launched a missile attack against air bases in Iraq that
housed U.S. and coalition forces, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad
Zarif tweeted that Iran was finished fighting and was not actively
pursuing any kind of escalation to the conflict.
"Iran took &
concluded proportionate measures in self-defense under Article 51 of UN
Charter targeting base from which cowardly armed attack against our
citizens & senior officials were launched," Zarif tweeted. "We do
not seek escalation or war, but will defend ourselves against any
aggression." (Emphasis added)
You will have to read my previous post to get the full gist and importance of this.

Seriously? WWIII?
It is impossible for anyone to really believe that our assassination of an Iranian official government terrorist will spark a war. Impossible.
Is there any reason to worry about Iran attacking us with any serious result? No.
Have a look at this.
I don't know when the statistics were compiled. I suspect, given the oil output numbers used, that they are a few years old. Instructive none the less.
Scroll down to the weaponry and man-power figures for a laugh.
We have rendered Iran a basket case with our current sanctions regime.
Rather than President Trump killing this terrorist to distract from his supposed "impeachment", it is far more likely that Iran has been escalating its nuisance attacks on us and our allies to distract its population from their own displeasure with the maniacs that run that god forsaken country. A "sh--hole" as the President might describe it.
Killing terrorists is suddenly bad?
All of the yammering has one explanation.
Orange Man Bad!

Obama the neophyte
Our hapless President declares that we have no right to meddle in Iran's internal politics. Aside from the disgrace of not supporting the protesters the idea that we will not be accused of meddling is so preposterous as to be funny, if it wasn't so sad.
Does Obama really not understand that the leaders of Iran, and the third world in general do not actually rely on reality to make their pronouncements? They simply say what they want to regardless of the facts. Think Baghdad Bob.
The Iranians immediately do the obvious: Declare that we are meddling in their internal politics. Brilliant.
